Operation Restore – 3 Day Course 

Practical tools to support wellbeing, connection, and personal recovery

  • Understanding moral injury and trauma after disaster or crisis, and how these present in individuals and communities
  • Trauma-informed communication skills, including safe, practical engagement strategies
  • Confidence to respond to distress 
  • Tools to support wellbeing, connection, and ongoing recovery
  • Strategies to build hope, resilience, and long-term recovery pathways
  • Knowledge of referral pathways, including effective warm referrals
  • Improved collaboration across agencies to reduce service gaps

Trauma Informed Practice Foundations

  • What trauma looks like after disaster and why it shows up differently
  • Creating psychological safety in everyday interactions
  • Trauma informed communication, language, and engagement
  • Working within role boundaries and safe referral triggers

Workshop 1

This workshop is foundational in trauma informed care in a disaster / crisis recovery context.

It is suitable for first responders, carers, volunteers, and those walking alongside individuals and families affected by trauma, crisis, and adversity.

Participants may register for either workshop, or both.

  • Cross agency coordination and shared response principles
  • Strengthening local partnerships to support community recovery
