Our crisis and disaster recovery programs equip organisations, frontline teams and individuals with practical tools and trauma-informed strategies to support communities impacted by disaster and crisis.

Understanding Trauma – 1 Day Workshop Trauma informed training for those in the frontlines of community recovery.

Trauma Informed Recovery – 1 Day workshop helping frontline teams apply trauma informed principals through real world scenarios and collaboration.

Operation Restore – 3 Day Course supporting individual frontline workers and community members impacted by disaster / crisis and service related trauma in their personal recovery.

  • What Participants will gain

  • Understanding moral injury and trauma after disaster or crisis, and how these present in individuals and communities
  • Trauma-informed communication skills, including safe, practical engagement strategies
  • Confidence to respond to distress 
  • Knowledge of referral pathways, including effective warm referrals
  • Improved collaboration across agencies to reduce service gaps

> OPERATION RESTORE

  • Tools to support personal wellbeing, connection, and ongoing personal recovery in a peer led group based setting.
  • Strengthening hope, resilience in service, and personal recovery pathways

  • Creating psychological safety in everyday interactions

Workshop 1

This workshop is foundational in trauma informed care in a disaster / crisis recovery context.

It is suitable for first responders, carers, volunteers, and those walking alongside individuals and families affected by trauma, crisis, and adversity.

Participants may register for either workshop, or both.

  • Practical case studies and scenario based application Referral pathways, warm handovers, and collaboration workflows

This workshop builds on workshop 1 and consolidates trauma informed care into practice in a disaster / crisis recovery context.

It is suitable for first responders, carers, volunteers, and those walking alongside individuals and families affected by trauma, crisis, and adversity.
